UTERINE FIBROID

Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths of the uterus that often appear during childbearing years. Fibroids range in size and numbers

Though the exact cause is not clear , Genetic abnormalities, alterations in growth factor expression, abnormalities in the vascular (blood vessel) system, and tissue response to injury have all been suggested to play a role in the development of fibroid.

Uterine fibroids do not have definite medical treatments in the modern gynaecological practices other than surgery.

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR UTERINE FIBROIDS

According to ayurveda the uterine fibroids are considered as garbhasayagata (intra uterine) granthi ( encapsulated growth).

Uterine fibroids are developments in mamsadhatu of uterus (development in solid tissue of uterus)

And it is managed as samprapti vighatana ( breaking pathogenisis)

Ayurvedic treatements for uterine fibroid are aimed at balancing the tri-doshas (vata, pitta & kapha). The uterine fibroids normally fall in the category of kaphaja disorder (but it can also be caused by vata and pitta abnormalities). Therapies are sufficiently sustained over time to eradicate slow-moving kapha.
